Kanazawa University is working toward carbon neutrality by 2050 through the four pillars of “research and development,” “social co-creation,” “education,” and “campus” under the all-Kanazawa University. In June 2024, we published a revised action plan with a brushed-up roadmap to further accelerate our efforts.
We have published "Kanazawa University Carbon Neutral Progress Report Vol. 2 'eC0Real' 2025", which summarizes the results of our efforts (research, education, and campus) in FY2024 based on our action plan.
Based on the role of the university in carbon neutrality, and from the perspective of leading the development of society, the University of Kanazawa University will co-create world-class innovations through collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders outside the university, while transcending the individual positions of all members and diverse organizations. We will continue to implement, evaluate, and review our action plans, and contribute to society by promoting our efforts as a top runner in research and development and human resource development in all Kanazawa University.
* The title "e:C0Real" combines the words "Eco" and "Realization" of "0" carbon, and further implies that Kanazawa University will be a "Core" center of green innovation.
